Since 1956, Arthur Kramer Elementary School has had a long tradition of excellence in teaching and learning in the North Dallas area. As a Texas Education Agency Exemplary and Recognized school, Kramer provides a solid foundation for our students’ future academic success and achievement. In addition to providing a rigorous and challenging curriculum throughout the school day, we are committed to offering a variety of extracurricular, hands-on opportunities for our students.


International Baccalaureate PYP

Arthur Kramer, An IB World School, is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP)and part of the global community of IB schools. Being a member of the IB community, students are taught and encouraged to become caring, self sufficient and informed global citizens. The PYP is a framework of good pedagogical strategies, which includes teaching students through transdisciplinary themes, conceptual understanding and inquiry based lessons. Each grade level has six units of inquiry that they use to teach your children core content, except for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, who study content through only four units. Character development is fostered by incorporating the IB Learner Profile attributes and IB Attitudes into daily activities, routines and lessons. Student agency and independence is built into each unit of inquiry so that our students may leave Kramer with an understanding of how to advocate for their needs and the needs of others throughout their lives.

Kramer elementary PTA

Established in 1989, the Kramer Elementary Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is an active, vibrant extension of Kramer Elementary. Our collective energies bring events such as Fall Carnival, Field Day and many more. Our various committees offer many opportunities for you to participate and continue providing Kramer with funds for literacy materials, instructional technology, and real field experiences for all of our Kramer Colts.
